Leveraging Resources, Building Communities

Funding for Tribal Economic Development

The Arizona Commerce Authority is the successor to the Arizona Department of Commerce.  This year this  public-private partnership has set-aside funds for a tribal grant grant program.  Applications are due March 2, 2012.

The Tribal Economic Development Grant will support Arizona tribal communities that have active economic development programs.  The grant is open to tribes and non-profits assisting tribal economic development efforts.  The program is designed to promote local self sufficiency by providing technical assistance grants that help develop successful economic development strategies that attract, grow, and develop business.

The grant is awarded through a competitive process and is a reimbursable type grant.  The total funds available for this grant is $250,000.00.  The Tribal Economic Development Grant Program solicitation is scheduled to be released this week.  A copy of the solicitation will be available on our website at http://www.azcommerce.com/about-us/public-notices.aspx.
